What’s the Difference between Standard, Stock, and Premium Custom Handles?
All of our tap handles are customized to best represent your brand, but there are a few differences:
Standard Custom Tap Handles
Pick from a pre-defined set of shapes, and then let us know how you would like to have them customized to suit your needs. These are perfect for you if you’re looking to order smaller amounts of handles (<100), have budget restrictions, or have a limited timeframe to get your handles.
Premium Custom Tap Handles
This is where you get whatever you want. Go crazy! Gold plated tap handle? No problem (as long as you’re willing to pay for it). These are a great option for breweries looking to order more than 100 handles and who are willing to spend a little more to get exactly what they want.
How do the quality of your handles stack up?
Do you hate it when your tap handles break? So do we! Cast resin handles are notorious for shattering on impact or with frequent use. Most of our handles are made from lightweight and durable hardwoods and we design all our handles with durability in mind. We know exactly how these handles get treated out in the marketplace. One example of this is our unique internal thread system which resists loosening and stripping of the threads from the handle. Still not convinced? Well don’t worry, if anything goes wrong with your handles, we will find a make it right with you.
Where are your tap handles made?
All of our handles are made right here in the good ol' US of A from responsibly-sourced materials and environmentally-friendly finishes. We take a tremendous amount of pride in handcrafting tap handles while maintaining very competitive pricing. Why put all the time and energy into handcrafting your beverages just to have your tap handles made overseas?

What’s the pricing like?
What also sets us apart from other tap handle companies is not only how we treat our clients, but also how we price your tap handles. With many tap handle companies, you have to pay huge "one-time setup fees", “mold fees”, or “sample fees”, which are meant to keep you coming back to that manufacturer because you're now financially invested with them. We keep you coming back by treating you with kindness and respect, and working our tails off to create a product that you're stoked with and really want to keep ordering. We give you a simple, highly competitive, per-handle price and you only pay that plus shipping from Portland, OR.
Do you offer a tap handle subscription program?
Do you use 500 or more tap handles per year? If so, we’d be happy to discuss a Purchase Order agreement where you get bulk pricing and spread out the production and delivery of your tap handles over the course of a year. We will provide regular monthly or quarterly delivery of tap handles to suit your needs.
The great thing is that you don't have to pay for all of them up front. Easy monthly payments will make your bookkeeper and accountant SO HAPPY. Since we don't source anything overseas, we have total control of production and can produce your handles in the way that best suits your needs.
What does “Fast, Friendly, and Honest Service” mean?
Our goal is for every client to be a return client. We aim to get you to come back by treating you with the respect that every client deserves, because it's the right thing to do. We'll respond to your questions as soon as possible (usually within a few hours), so you don't have to sit around waiting for answers. We’re also not going to promise you something we can’t deliver on, and we’ll be honest with you about our capabilities and process. Making slick looking tap handles might also help keep you coming back also.
How do you make sure the tap handle faces forward?

What’s the process?
1) Fill out the contact form and let us know what you’re looking for and how we can help you. If you have designs or artwork, feel free to include them. We’ll follow up with you within 1 business day.
2) Design and Quote: Your dedicated tap handle designer will prepare a 3D rendering of your tap handle along with a quote for your review.
3) Production: Once the design is approved, we’ll get production of your handles moving on your timeline. For premium custom handles, prototypes are included in your pricing.
How long does the process take?
Current turnaround time is based on the demand at the time of your order. Please reach out and we’d be happy to give you an estimate of our current lead times.
Do you have any minimums?
Lawyer answer time! It depends. During times of high demand, we may implement minimum orders in order to help speed up production times for all clients.
How many handles should I order?
So many. So, so many tap handles. Way more than you could ever need! But seriously, we are happy to work up pricing for you at various quantities. We have worked with hundreds of breweries and have a pretty good idea of what breweries of various sizes are ordering, and would be happy to share our knowledge and experiences with you. If you’re working with a distributor, we recommend asking them for their recommendation as well.
Will you rush my order?
Rush order availability will depend on current market demand. There can be times where everyone wants a rush order, and if we give everyone a rush order, that means that nobody’s order actually gets rushed. Rather than take your money and not follow up on our rush promise, we would just let you know that a rush order isn’t available at this time.
I received my order and one of my handles has a defect or there’s some other problem. What do I do?
First, scold us in your best grown-up voice. Next, let us know, and we will do whatever it takes to make it right. We do our best to ensure that you receive the highest quality handles we can produce, but sometimes things happen that we couldn't see or couldn't predict, or slipped through our QA process. We’ll work with you to figure out the best way to make it right for you.
Do you have templates for me to design my own stock handle?
Yes! They can be downloaded here.
I don’t have artwork ready, will you create the artwork for me?
Sure thing! We’re happy to help out with artwork. Basic layout work is included in our pricing. If you need more extensive graphic design work, we are glad to do that as well for an additional fee.

Thank you for shopping at Hoptown Handles!
For items purchased through our online store, we offer refund and/or exchange within the first 30 days of your purchase, if 30 days have passed since your purchase, you will not be offered a refund and/or exchange of any kind.
Eligibility for Refunds and Exchanges
Your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it.
The item must be in the original packaging.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Only regular priced items may be refunded, sale items cannot be refunded.
If the item in question was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you will receive a gift credit for the value of your return.
Exchanges

Refund Process
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.
Late or missing refunds
If you have not received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item.
Shipping costs are non-refundable! If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it takes for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
We cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
